During 50 days of 2008 summer, Luis and Vero decided to take a step more in the adventure that they had carried out during both previous years. This time they did not want to conform to seeing summits, they wanted to show themselves to its window, to see what those tops of mountains saw.

So making this one decision, it changed their perspective but also changed their materials. No longer it was only hiking and sometimes it was necessary to make sure. For it, they had trained and they learned to climbing.

They could see the most beautiful landscapes, more than never they had reached to watch, and they enjoyed a freer mountaineering, more demanding, than they still liked more. The fact of not having to follow a footpath, allowed to major stay them in the heights but without visiting so many villages, reason why the volume of foods loaded also had increased.

Once again, its trip began taking the Canfranero, by the skin of their teeth, in the station of Villanueva de Gallego to avoid problems of controls in the recently built Delicias Station of Saragossa, since they took gas bottles for the small furnace that had perhaps not let to us pass.

As soon as they arrive at Canfranc, impatients to begin to climb, they approached passing the bridge of stone and taking footpath GR-G53 Candanchú direction to climbing ways that there were with not much difficulty. There, in the Flin route, it was the first time that Luis and Vero chained 3 lengths, lowering later behind. They liked the beings who inhabited the walls, far from inert stones of the climbing tower where they were used to train.

Walking towards the cascade of Izas valley, place which has special meaning for this couple, began to see marmotas… the summer had begun!

The dynamic that Luis and Vero followed during the days they were in the mountain raising and lowering, was the one to rise very early, to always take food in the knapsack for one week, to walk without losing height until coming near to the top they wanted to raise, to leave for that day stored the tent and one of the heavy knapsacks parked and covered in case of the rain fell in some hidden place, and to take in the back the necessary thing to only raise the proposed top for the day of the ascent.

It is not safe nor possible to be enjoyed to raise certain things with a knapsack in the back that weighs almost more than your own body, reason why Luis and Vero decided on that way to come what was to them very been thankful.

Everything wasn´t joys neither was the easiest excursion of the world, but it had left to Luis and Vero a good flavor of mouth after reaching the summits like the Balaitus (3.146m) one, the Grand Fache (3.005m), Petit Vignemale (3.032m), Vignemale (3.298m), the Taillon (3.144m), or Perdido Mount (3.355). In the way they remained many ascents without realising, storms that give fear, refuges that throw their sweepings soiling the mountain and lofty stone quarries where the best thing is not to watch, but also the good flavor of mouth of thousand eventful journeys that to count.

Yellow tritons, glaciers, improvised bivouacs at 1:00 A.M. after a long descent, vans that are called Berta and listened to Sabina that are not bad, socks that play to escape river down, flying mats, the French gastronomy and the amiable of their people, slippery animal, horses procurers who do like awakeners, precious sausages with nut, perfect lakes and places like the Lac d´Arratille to 2.247m where the dawns are spectacular… Cést superb!
